Count the wires, then read only the matching 4-, 5-, or 6-wire section. Test its conditions from top to bottom and cut the wire named by the first true condition; if none match, use that section's final Otherwise rule. The correct color is not fixed. In the recorded five-wire example, yellow-yellow-yellow-black-blue falls through to the first wire.
Start with wire count, then apply only the matching rule and the serial clue shown in the current run. Original diagram by TheLoginGame.wiki Editorial Team.
Check the rule panel before choosing a wire
This transcription describes the August 2026 record cited on this page. Use it only when the wire count and rule sentences match the panel in your game.
A similar-looking bomb puzzle can use different rules. Do not replace the Roblox panel with a manual from another game, and do not assume a rule has stayed unchanged after an update. If the text differs, follow the panel in front of you rather than a memorized wire color.

The Short Fuse wire manual
These conditions are transcribed from the visible August 2026 manual. Within the matching wire-count section, apply the first true line only.
If the device has 4 wires
• If more than one wire is red and the serial's last digit is odd, cut the last red wire.
• Otherwise, if the last wire is yellow and there are no red wires, cut the first wire.
• Otherwise, if exactly one wire is blue, cut the blue wire.
• Otherwise, cut the last wire.
If the device has 5 wires
• If the last wire is black and the serial's last digit is odd, cut the fourth wire.
• Otherwise, if exactly one wire is red and more than one wire is yellow, cut the first wire.
• Otherwise, if there are no black wires, cut the second wire.
• Otherwise, cut the first wire.
The recorded yellow-yellow-yellow-black-blue device reached this final Otherwise line, so the player cut wire 1.
If the device has 6 wires
• If there are no yellow wires and the serial's last digit is odd, cut the third wire.
• Otherwise, if exactly one wire is yellow and more than one wire is white, cut the fourth wire.
• Otherwise, if there are no red wires, cut the last wire.
• Otherwise, cut the fourth wire.
Worked five-wire examples
These examples apply the five-wire rules printed above. They are logic examples, not three new gameplay tests. Read the wires in the order displayed by your puzzle; the first matching condition ends the decision.
Example 1: why the recorded layout reaches the fallback
Wire order: yellow, yellow, yellow, black, blue.
The last wire is blue, so the first condition is false regardless of whether the serial's final digit is odd.
There is no red wire, so the “exactly one red” condition is false.
A black wire is present, so the “no black wires” condition is false.
No earlier condition applies. The five-wire Otherwise rule selects wire 1.
This explains that layout. It does not make wire 1 a universal answer.
Example 2: stop when the first condition is true
Assume the wire order is red, yellow, yellow, white, black and the serial ends in 7. The last wire is black and 7 is odd, so the first condition selects wire 4. Stop there.
The layout also has one red and more than one yellow wire, but the lower condition is not used after an earlier condition succeeds.
Example 3: changing the serial can change the result
Keep the same red, yellow, yellow, white, black order, but assume the serial ends in 2. The first condition is now false. The next condition—one red and more than one yellow—selects wire 1.
The color order did not change; the relevant serial clue did.
Before you cut
Confirm the wire count, the displayed order, any serial digit required by the matching condition, and which condition matched first. A direction such as “the fourth wire” refers to a position, not a permanent color.
Direct objective
What You Need to Do
Match the visible wire count to the manual, read its conditions in order, and stop at the first condition that matches both the colors and the serial number. Cut exactly one wire.
Verified sequence
Step-by-Step Instructions
1Count the visible wires; the manual has separate sections for four, five, and six wires.
2Read the last digit of the device serial number and note whether it is odd.
3In the matching wire-count section, test the first condition against the current colors and serial number.
4Continue downward only while a condition is false; the first true condition decides the wire.
5If none of the special conditions match, follow that section's final Otherwise line.
6Cut exactly the named wire and wait for the green RENDER SAFE result.
Stop when you see this
Success Condition
The selected wire is severed, the device remains inert, and a green RENDER SAFE stamp appears before the method completes.
Repeatable facts
What Stays the Same?
✓ The manual is divided by wire count and must be read from top to bottom.
✓ Only one wire should be cut, and the first matching condition wins.
✓ The serial number's final digit matters in some branches.
Run-specific details
What May Change Each Run?
↻ The number, colors, order, and device serial can change between runs.
↻ The correct wire therefore changes with the generated device; no color is universally safe.
Troubleshooting
Common Reasons It Fails
Retry the method itself first. These failure checks stay within what the reviewed gameplay can support.
Check 1
You use the wrong wire-count section of the manual.
Check 2
You skip an earlier matching condition and apply a later Otherwise rule.
Check 3
You ignore whether the serial number's last digit is odd.
Check 4
You copy the recorded first-wire result even though your colors differ.
